Greetings,
I have been to DisneyLand on 2 separate occasions...One was back
in 1986 after my graduation from High School when my parents & younger
brother took me to the Magic Kingdom for my graduation present. Another
time was in 1998 when my brother Jason and I went together for the first
time to hangout at DisneyLand, this was during construction of the New
TomorrowLand Imagination & Beyond and when a POWER BLACKOUT knocked out
all rides within the park. Now Jason and I aka THE BIG SKY BROTHERS OF
MONTANA plan on going again to DisneyLand in 2000!
I was born and raised in Southern California, and began making annual trips to Disneyland with my family at the age of four. Since then, I've gone at least once, and often twice or more times each year. I'm 21 now, and I still think it's the happiest place on Earth. The original is the king of the "mountain". My vote goes to Disneyland, CA.

I've been to both parks several times, and think that they're both lots of fun. Lots of the rides at Walt Disney World are cooler, but I still think Disneyland is cooler overall. Maybe cause I went there first.

Yes I like Disneyland the best cause I got soaking wet in the rain and marched around holding a metal pole and ate overpriced chicken products with my friend named Joe. YAY! I wish they made a place called Joe-Land, or maybe the Joe Hanawalt crazy train ride. I would go on it, and it would make me want to purchase more overpriced chicken. And march around.

Well, being a Walt Disney World virgin, I'd have to vote for Disneyland. You've just gotta love the original. Like the creator of the page, I usually make an annual trip, sometimes semi-annual trips. In fact, my last trip was with Joe and with Miss Jamie "Anklehead" Hemingway and let me tell you, it was a blast....although, I don't know if I can concur on the Joe Hanawalt crazy train ride. I would like to visit the sister park on the east coast, but until then, Disneyland gets my vote as the better park.

I've only been to Disneyland. I didn't like it, and probably won't go again unless it's with my bestest friend Joe Joe Bean. If I went to Disneyland with Mr. Bean, I think I would like it.

****NOTE from webmaster Joe. Ya know guys, it's amazing the difference company makes on trips to the Magic Kingdom. My heart really goes out to those souls who were unable to enjoy such a wonderful place because they went with the wrong people. It's just sad.....
Hi Joe,
One of my favorite Disney memories was taking my two little boys to the park. Of course they were very small, but it was pretty funny when one of them cried because he was sure that the riverboat was too fast of a ride. He just knew he would be afraid. I can't remember if that was the night that we went to Denny's afterward. The boys were so tired that they both fell asleep with their heads on the table before the food got there. I have never been to Disneyworld, but I can tell you that it doesn't really matter which one you go to as long as you go with the people you love. Maybe we can go when you get home at Christmas. I bet it would be me and Dad that would fall asleep before dinner this time.

The first time I went to disnyland was when I was eight and I had lots of
fun. I also went there for Grad Night and had a blast...

Joe, Hi everyone...my most wonderful experiences in my 20 years, were the
ones spent at Disneyland. i have never been to walt disney world, but i
know i would have a blast there, as i do at the one in cali. I have been to
D-land at least 5 times in my life, and i recommend disneyland to everyone,
cause i believe it holds a special meaning in everyone's hearts, as well as
mine.

HI~
I went to Walt Disney World (WDW) once (when I was c. 6 years old, (19 now)).
I didn't enjoy it as much as Disneyland (DL). I would have to say, since I
visit DL at least semiannually, I could live there. Don't tear me away!

Hello. My name is Mark Firestone, and I have had the privilege to visit both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Being native to Indiana, I get to WDW more than to Disneyland. I have been to WDW a total of 7 times (8 in December, and possibly 9 next summer), and to Disneyland only once (but would like to change that).
To compare Disneyland and Walt Disney World is really not fair... Walt Disney World is so much larger than Disneyland, and there are so many other cool things to do other than just the Magic Kingdom. Many of my favorite attractions exist in one of the other three parks at Walt Disney World, so if you compare all of WDW to Disneyland, I have to go with WDW as the best.
BUT... I think it is more appropriate to compare just WDW's Magic Kingdom to Disneyland. In that case, Disneyland wins it hands down. Disneyland has that special charm that Walt added himself. There's just something about walking down Disneyland's Main Street USA and knowing that Walt himself walked down that same street countless times before. Walt's spirit is still living at Disneyland. That is something that Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom lacks, and can never have. Granted, Disneyland Park itself is smaller that WDW's Magic Kingdom, but it actually has more to do. It is just more intricate, and detailed than WDW is. WDW's Magic Kingdom is full of large, open walkways to accommodate large crowds. After opening Disneyland, it became apparent that the park was not built to handle such large crowds. This is why WDW's Magic Kingdom was "modified." But in all actuality, I like the small, intricate pathways, and the way everything flows into each other. SO, in comparing only WDW's Magic Kingdom to Disneyland, I have to say that Disneyland is better.
That's my two cents... I don't know if that really helped in determining which is better, but it really depends on how you compare the two. Each has it's good traits I guess.
